POLYPECTOMY SNARE
Description
AVANOS* Polypectomy Snares are designed to provide a consistent loop configuration during polypectomy procedure. Endoscopists will have multiple sizing options and can select from loops composed in oval, hexagonal, and crescent structures. All loops utilize firm stainless steel wire that is braided together. The HALYARD* Polypectomy Snares are available in two different wire types (hard and soft) and
three different shapes: Crescent (B), Oval and Soft Oval (C) and Hexagonal (D).

Instructions For Use
Remove disposable polypectomy snare assembly from package and A.
inspect for damage.
Form a gentle loop with the catheter. Advance and retract snare B.
to observe and become familiar with the operation of the device.
Retract snare before introducing through endoscope.
Attach grounding pad to patient. C.
Connect snare handle (A) to active cord. D.
Connect active cord to monopolar outlet on electrosurgical unit. E.
Perform polypectomy as routine. F.
