Bonding
Unique powder coating provides a light tack that holds the material in place while warm.
Use over bandages with minimal adherence.
A wet bond will hold but can be pulled apart once cooled.
For a permanent bond, dry heat surfaces until soft and press together firmly.
Surface Finish
Semi-gloss smooth finish.
Self-sealing cut edges remain smooth and rounded even when reheated.
Fingerprints lift away when material is warm. Lightly reheat and rub to remove deep marks.
Applications
Excellent for making variety of orthoses for the wrist, hand, finger and thumb where an intimate fit and minimal handling is require.
Use in the presence of sensitive skin and for conditions such as arthritis, soft tissue injuries, or post-surgical repairs.
For effective handling, allow gravity to assist and use light, smoothing strokes to form contours.
Once positioned, the orthosis remains in place, and needs only minimal contact to be molded.
Working time (1/8")
Allows three to five minutes to form and harden after softening in 150�-160� F (71�C) water.
