The HUG-U-VAC is a durable, waterproof polyvinyl chloride shell filled with polystyrene beads.
Simply place the sedated or anesthetized animal in the longitudinal center of the HUG-U-VAC, and fold up the sides to approximate the animal’s body contours.
When activated with a few strokes of the hand-operated vacuum pump, the positioner instantly becomes rigid and snugly conforms to the contours of the animal’s body to provide a secure, customized position for the duration of any type of surgical procedure on nearly any animal, from a kitten to a foal.
The separate head positioner works in the same manner to provide precise positioning for any size head to perform microscopic surgery (eye, neuro, dental, cranio-facial), X-rays of the head and neck, and surgery in the ventral, dorsal or lateral position.
HUG-U-VAC is portable, radiolucent, and easy to clean.
