Dermatophytes are a unique group of fungi that can invade the hair, skin, and nails of a living host. Dermatophytes are the most common fungi identified in the clinical laboratory. More than 12,000,000 people are diagnosed and treated annually in the U.S. Some dermatophytes are commonly carried by pets and may be the source of recurring infections. InTray DM provides a simple color test for the detection of dermatophytes-yellow to red.
